Catherine Duff Jailed For Gambling Fraud
A 45 year old gambling addict has been jailed for 12 Months after racking up over £50,000 in debts in her former partners name. Online gambling addict Catherine Duff racked up a staggering £53,286 over a 7 year period all of which was in her former partner, Miss Wilson’s name. Duff pleaded guilty to 8 charges of Fraud and Theft at Manchester Crown Court and admitted to conning her former Partner of 15 years.
Duff’s acting solicitor Rebecca Tanner claimed that her clients online gambling addiction had “spiralled out of control” and that she got tangled in a life of stealing to fund her addiction.
